Gold Parties Are a Fab Fundraiser!
Have you ever felt torn when invited to different parties hosted by your friends such as tupperware, Mary Kay, or scrap-booking parties? You feel this way because you know that although you simply want to go to socialize and to support your friends, you are going to leave their house with less money in your pocket!
Usually at these parties, you end up with less money than when you came because you fell victim to peer pressure and decided to go all out and purchase all their different wonderful prodcuts. Although I love Mark Kay products, it’s definitely discouraging at times to come home from a wonderful girls night poorer than when I arrived.
Well, believe it or not, there is actually a party where you can go and MAKE money while you are there! It’s called a “gold party” and it’s hosted by a company called Glitter 2 Green. Basically what happens is you invite all your friends just like you would for a Mary Kay Party but instead you ask them to bring all of their unwanted gold, silver, and platinum jewelry. It could be their broken necklaces that are simply taking up space in their jewelry box, single earrings, gifts from ex’s or jewelry from their mother-in-law that they know they’ll never wear again.
The layout of the party is as so. You and your girlfriends will sit and and chat while each person takes a turn meeting with the Glitter 2 Green representative and weighs their gold. The weight will determine the worth of the gold and ultimately the cash value you will receive! In order to analyze 10-20 people’s gold, you should block 2-3 hours for this party. The greatness doesn’t end there- if you and your friends end up donating $1000 or more of jewelry the drinks are on Glitter 2 Green! They will give the host $50 bucks to pay for drinks for the party. You may be intimidated by the $1000 minimum to get this deal, but it’s actually quite easy to accomplish because the average donation of gold is worth $150.
This is such a great way to help your friends earn money or host your very own fundraiser! Instead of your friends leaving with the money, you can ask them to donate it towards your organization. These parties are great because they help you get rid of stuff you don’t need while making money and providing a chance to bond with friends. Food, jewelry, cash, and friends- who could ask for anything more?!
Are you ready to experience the gold party? Glitter to Green would love to work with you on hosting your own party with your friends and neighbors. For information on how to get started, visit easy fundraisers
