Buzz Aldrin Blasts Onto Dancing With The Stars
It’s been a long time since Mr. Buzz Aldrin gracefully stepped onto the moon. But that didn’t stop the producers of Dancing with The Stars from inviting its oldest guest to the stage. Buzz, the only astronaut to have donned dancing shoes is hoping his exposure will get America excited about space exploration again.
Buzz Aldrin recently did an interview with Don Potter of http://newseniors.com where he explored this desire to spotlight the failing US Space Program. Having been born a “new senior” back in the 1930’s, Don’s hoping to divert attention from both his age and his dancing abilities back onto the space program.
According to Mr. Aldrin the US could become the world leader in space exploration again if it became more of a coordinator and less of a competitor. Buzz is hoping to use the media as a platform to garner more votes for his dancing, but more so to garner more fans of his plan to initiate global space cooperation. Like the space station has seen so far, Buzz believes cooperation will lead to more advances, more discoveries and more progress than wasteful competition has done thus far. He believes the race to space supremacy has resulted in wasted money, time and human resources.
The 5-part series (print and audio versions) begins Monday, March 22 on New Seniors Journal, an online magazine for those 65+. Aldrin’s moon experience, his views on the future, personal observations about life – particularly on the responsibilities pre-boomers have to trailing generations – and thoughts about being a competitor on Dancing With The Stars will all be addressed in the series.
Did you ever wonder what happened to the space program after the moon walk? How come the gentlemen who walked on the moon never did so again? Buzz goes into detail and gives his thoughts about what would get the movement going again. There’s one superpower on the planet, it’s time for them to lead the charge again.
